is third party accreditation of company nominated suppliers of food and beverage products is a pre-requisite for demonstrating and providing evidence of ‘due diligence’ HSQC's Plant Audit Standard, the audit standard for SupplierChek, applies to food manufacturers and distributors.
The standard is based on the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system as well as Quality Management and Good Manufacturing Practice principles as well as ISO22000 the new international standard, which defines the requirements of a food safety management system covering all organisations in the food chain from farmers to food service, including packaging.
The supplier will receive a copy of the audit report and a certificate of accreditation if satisfactory standards are achieved.
