INTRODUCTION
Workplace stress is increasingly being seen as a major cause of absenteeism
in the UK. This level one course is designed to assist organisations in
maintaining productivity and staff morale by helping to reduce workplace
stress. Although aimed at general workers it also provides a suitable introduction
to the subject for more senior staff.
COURSE
A one day course, including the assessment , covers the topic areas:-
- Definitions
of stress
- Stress
as an occupational health hazard
- Identification
of basic workplace stressors
- Development
of basic controls for work related stressors
- Responsibilities
imposed under UK legislation
Delegates
will become aware of the importance of controlling stress in the workplace
and will develop a basic toolkit to monitor and control stress.
CERTIFICATE
The certificate is awarded to candidates that have successfully completed the
course and the assessment. The assessment is by means of a review of the
students own work practices; this is completed under tutor supervision
at the conclusion of the training session.
