INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED REFRESHER WORKSHOP

INTRODUCTION
The CIEH strongly recommends that refresher training is undertaken at least every three years.

ABOUT THE COURSE
This course informs candidates of changes in legislation and developments to improve food safety. It will help them to keep their knowledge up-to-date since obtaining their certificates.

The course programme includes:

  • Group work : food safety successes and difficulties
  • Hazard spotting
  • Effective hand washing
  • Food allergies
  • Food Safety Act 1990 (amendment) Regulations 2004
  • General Food Hygiene Regulations 2004
  • Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2005
  • Food safety management procedures (including safer food better business)
  • Effective food hygiene training
  • Developing a food safety culture
  • Food poisoning investigation
  • Sources of information

 WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
   This workshop is aimed at Food & Beverage Management, Head Chefs, Sous Chefs, General Management, and Purchasers etc who have already achieved Intermediate or Advanced Hygiene Certificates and need now to refresh themselves and be updated on new legislation
