Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Principles Of Manual Handling Certificate

INTRODUCTION
This is a first level qualification in health & safety and is designed to complement the CIEH Foundation Certificate in Health & Safety, although it may be used as a stand-alone course.

PROGRAMME
A minimum of three hours training covers:-

  • The process of manual handling in the workplace
  • Manual handling injuries and the activities that cause them
  • Manual handling assessment and control options
  • Responsibilities imposed by the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.

CERTIFICATE
The Certificate is awarded to candidates who have completed the course and the final short, objective test of 20 questions.

Following the examination the tutor usually provides immediate feedback to the students.
